The FenceMate Sleeper Truncated Bracket is designed for landscaping professionals and DIY enthusiasts who require robust structural reinforcement for tall garden walls or deeper timber sleeper configurations. Its primary benefit is providing superior stability in tight, constrained layouts where traditional, bulky brackets may not fit, though users should note that its truncated profile is specifically engineered for precise structural tasks rather than broad decorative mounting.

Yes, the galvanised steel construction is specifically designed to handle damp conditions and direct ground contact.
Use heavy-duty exterior-grade, galvanised coach screws or structural timber screws for the best hold.
The FenceMate Sleeper Truncated Bracket is currently only available in the standard silver galvanised finish.
Yes, they provide excellent structural support for sleeper step risers, especially where steps are deep or wide.
While the galvanised coating is durable, you can use a metal primer and exterior paint if you need to color-match the bracket to your garden design.
Ensure you have used the correct diameter of coach screws and that pilot holes are not over-drilled.
Check that you are using galvanised or stainless steel fasteners to avoid galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.
To install, ensure your timber sleepers are level and correctly aligned before marking the bracket holes. Always pre-drill pilot holes to prevent the timber from splitting, especially when working near the ends of the sleeper. The bracket is compatible with standard pressure-treated sleepers. For long-term care, periodic inspection of the bolts is recommended after heavy rainfall or ground frost. If you notice any surface oxidation around the screw holes, applying a bit of cold galvanising paint will maintain the life of the bracket and prevent the spread of corrosion to the timber.
