FAQs

Are these sandals waterproof?

No, they are made of premium leather. Exposure to excessive water can damage the material and affect the adhesive bonding.

Do they provide arch support?

While they feature a cushioned footbed for comfort, they are flat sandals and do not provide structured orthotic arch support.

How do I determine my size?

This specific model is a UK size 4. TKEES typically follow standard sizing, but it is recommended to choose your usual everyday sandal size.

Can I wear these for long walks?

They are designed for light walking and casual use. We do not recommend them for long-distance trekking or hiking.

How do I clean the leather straps?

Wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a very small amount of mild, leather-specific soap on a damp (not soaking) cloth.

Troubleshooting

Slippery footbed when wet

Avoid wearing on slick surfaces after swimming; allow the leather to air dry completely in the shade before wearing again.

Strap feels tight

Leather will naturally soften and stretch slightly with body heat and consistent wear. Avoid forcing a fit if the strap causes immediate pain.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated and timeless minimalist design
High-quality leather materials feel soft against the skin
Versatile enough for both casual and dressy occasions
Lightweight construction for comfortable all-day wear

Cons

Thin straps offer less lateral stability than chunky sandals
Not intended for rugged or uneven outdoor terrain
Leather material requires specific care to prevent water damage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

As a slip-on sandal, no assembly is required; simply slide your foot into the strap and ensure the heel sits flush with the footbed. To keep your TKEES in pristine condition, avoid contact with heavy water or harsh chemicals. If the leather becomes dirty, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher marks, use a leather-safe cleaner applied to a cloth rather than directly onto the shoe. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the leather over time.
