Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
This Neff Induction Hob requires professional installation by a qualified electrician to a dedicated cooker circuit. Attempting self-installation can be dangerous and may void your warranty. Ensure the installation area has adequate ventilation as per the product manual.
Compatibility
To use this induction hob, you will need induction-compatible cookware. This means pots and pans must have a magnetic base. You can test your existing cookware by holding a magnet to the bottom – if it sticks, it's induction-compatible. Non-magnetic cookware will not heat up on an induction hob.
Care
Maintaining your Neff Induction Hob is straightforward:
- Wait for cooling: Always wait for the Residual Heat Indicator light to turn off before cleaning the hob surface. This ensures the surface is cool enough to touch safely.
- Regular cleaning: For daily cleaning, simply wipe the glass surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water marks.
- Stubborn stains: For cooked-on food or stubborn stains, use a ceramic hob scraper specifically designed for glass surfaces, followed by a non-abrasive ceramic hob cleaner. Always read the cleaner's instructions before use.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners: Do not use abrasive sponges, scourers, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or damage the hob surface.
