Unifix Galvanised Square Twist Nails are designed for professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts who require superior holding power for framing and heavy-duty woodworking projects. These nails feature a unique square twist profile that significantly improves grip within timber, ensuring long-term structural stability even in demanding environments. While they provide exceptional corrosion resistance due to their galvanised coating, users should note that the aggressive thread profile can cause splitting if driven too close to the edge of thinner, brittle wood stock.

Yes, the galvanised coating provides high corrosion resistance, making them suitable for most exterior structural applications.
They are designed for standard structural use. Ensure your nail gun magazine and feed mechanism support the square-twist shank profile.
The twist profile provides much higher withdrawal resistance, meaning the nails are less likely to pull out of the wood over time.
Keep them in a cool, dry place inside their original packaging or a sealed container to prevent oxidation.
Yes, their design is engineered specifically for framing and structural stability in timber construction.
Reduce the hammer force or pre-drill a small pilot hole that is slightly smaller than the nail diameter.
Ensure the nail is being struck perfectly square and that you are not hitting the timber surface with the hammer face.
These nails are compatible with standard manual hammers or heavy-duty pneumatic nail guns that accept square-shank fasteners. For the best results, ensure your hammer head is flat to prevent damaging the nail head during driving. No special maintenance is required for the nails themselves while in storage, though they should be kept in a dry area to preserve the integrity of the galvanised coating. If the packaging is damaged, transfer the contents to a plastic or metal container to prevent moisture ingress.
