Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting started with your Kipling Jet 12 is straightforward, ensuring your young adventurer is ready for their next journey.
Setup
- Adjust Straps: Before first use, adjust the shoulder straps to ensure the pack sits comfortably and securely on your child's back. The bottom of the pack should rest around their lower back.
- Load Essentials: Distribute weight evenly within the main compartment. Place heavier items closer to the back for better balance.
- Hydration Bladder (Optional): If using a hydration bladder, insert it into the designated sleeve in the main compartment and thread the hose through the port (if available) for easy access.
Compatibility
- Hydration Bladders: The main compartment is designed to be hydration-compatible. This means it has a sleeve to hold a standard hydration bladder (typically 1-2 liters, depending on dimensions), but the bladder itself is not included.
- Snacks & Small Items: Front and side pockets are perfectly sized for standard snack bags, small toys, or collectible items.
Care
- Cleaning: The nylon fabric is stain- and water-resistant. For most dirt and spills, simply wipe the bag with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: If the bag gets wet, allow it to air dry completely before storing to prevent mildew.
- Storage: Store the backpack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure it is empty and clean.
