The Lodge Vest is designed for cold weather layering. For extreme cold or snowy conditions, it is best used as a mid-layer over other insulating garments, rather than a standalone outer layer.

Using a front-loading machine and tumble drying on a cool setting with tennis balls can help to break up any clumps and redistribute the down evenly.

The vest has a water-repellent finish, which is effective against light rain or drizzle. It is not waterproof, so prolonged exposure to heavy rain may saturate the fabric and affect insulation.

It means the vest can be folded and stored inside its own chest pocket, compressing into a small, portable package for easy transport or storage when not in use.

The outer shell is made of 100% Polyamide, providing wind-repellent and water-repellent properties.

Machine wash cold with mild detergent on a gentle cycle in a front-loading machine. Tumble dry on a cool setting. Avoid bleach, ironing, and dry cleaning.

Ensure the vest is completely dry. If damp, follow the tumble dry on cool setting instructions. Consider placing a few clean tennis balls in the dryer with the vest to help redistribute and re-fluff the down.

Check for any fabric caught in the zipper teeth. Gently try to move the zipper up and down. If it persists, a small amount of graphite from a pencil applied to the teeth can help lubricate it.

Follow the recommended washing instructions. Avoid harsh detergents or dry cleaning, which can strip the water-repellent finish. Re-application of a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment might be considered after extensive use, following product-specific guidelines.
