Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Reebok Workout Plus Trainers are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply:
- Unpack: Remove trainers from packaging.
- Lace Up: Use the lace-up design to adjust the fit. Start from the bottom eyelets and crisscross the laces, ensuring a snug but comfortable feel. Avoid over-tightening.
- Break-In: Like most leather footwear, a short break-in period may be beneficial for the trainers to fully conform to the shape of your feet.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for versatile styling:
- Apparel: They pair well with a wide range of casual wear, including jeans, joggers, shorts, and chinos. Their classic black color makes them easy to match with most outfits.
- Activities: Best suited for daily casual wear, light walking, and low-impact activities. Not recommended for high-intensity sports or specialized training.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your leather trainers:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the leather upper regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove surface dirt. For more stubborn marks, use a cleaner specifically designed for leather footwear.
- Deep Cleaning (Leather): Apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a clean cloth and gently rub the affected areas in small circles. Wipe off any excess with a clean, damp cloth.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. This is especially important if the trainers get wet or are exposed to dry conditions.
- Sole Cleaning: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and mild soap and water to clean the thick moulded sole.
- Drying: If trainers get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can damage the leather.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape when not in use.
