This guide is for DIY enthusiasts and furniture painters looking for a durable, easy-to-use paint for interior woodwork and furniture. The key benefit is its all-in-one formula that simplifies the prep and finishing process. A caveat to consider is its specific colour tone which may be too warm for some modern aesthetics. Frenchic Trim Paint in Marshmellow is a subtle off-white with creamy undertones, ideal for adding warmth to darker spaces. It's a chalk and mineral paint designed for interior surfaces like woodwork, furniture, and radiators, delivering a soft-satin finish. Key features include minimal surface preparation, a self-priming and self-sealing capability, and a scuff-resistant, water-based formula with low VOCs and low odour.

No, Frenchic Trim Paint is self-priming, so you can usually apply it directly to your surface after cleaning.
A 500ml tin covers up to 7m² with a single coat. For a more durable finish, two coats are recommended, covering approximately 3.5m².
This trim paint is specifically formulated for woodwork, furniture, and radiators. For walls, Frenchic offers different ranges like 'Al Fresco' or 'Lazy Llama'.
Marshmellow is a subtle off-white with warm, creamy tones, not a stark or pure white.
Once fully cured, surfaces painted with Frenchic Trim Paint can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Yes, the paint is certified EN71-3, making it safe for use on children's toys and furniture.
Frenchic Trim Paint provides a soft-satin sheen.
Ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and dried before application. Remove any wax or silicone residues. Stir the paint well before use.
Apply thin, even coats. Avoid overloading the brush or roller. Work in consistent strokes. Allow adequate drying time between coats.
Ensure adequate ventilation. The paint may require more time to cure in humid or cold conditions. Apply thinner coats, and ensure the previous coat is sufficiently dry before applying the next.
Apply a second coat as recommended for enhanced durability. Allow the paint to cure fully for at least 7-14 days for maximum hardness.
Setup: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free from grease or grime. For most applications, no primer or sanding is required due to the paint's self-priming properties. Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
Compatibility: This paint is suitable for interior woodwork, furniture, and radiators. It can typically be applied over existing paintwork or bare wood. Always test on an inconspicuous area first if unsure.
Care: Clean brushes, rollers, and spills immediately with water. Once fully cured, the finish is water-resistant. For routine cleaning of painted surfaces, use a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing to maintain the finish.
