No, this kit is specifically molded for the Zoom H5's unique microphone module design.
Can I still access the H5's menu and screen?

Does the Windjammer affect audio quality?
It provides excellent wind protection while maintaining transparency for high-frequency sounds.
Is the handle removable?

We recommend dry brushing; if absolutely necessary, hand wash with a mild detergent and air dry thoroughly.
Troubleshooting
Wind noise still audible in recordings
Check that the Mini Windjammer is fully seated over the microphone capsules with no gaps for air to enter.
Suspension feels loose
Ensure the clips are fully snapped into the designated mounting points on the H5 unit and that no debris is stuck in the hinge.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Significantly reduces handling noise and wind interference
- Tailor-made fit for the Zoom H5 chassis
- Includes a comfortable grip for handheld field use
- Durable construction suitable for professional fieldwork
- Easy to attach and remove for quick transitions
Cons
- Increases the overall physical footprint of the H5 recorder
- May require practice to fit the Windjammer perfectly to prevent gaps
- Does not protect the recorder's body from moisture directly
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the kit, first ensure the Rycote suspension is securely clicked onto the H5 housing. Once attached, slide the Mini Windjammer over the microphone capsules, ensuring the elastic opening forms a tight seal around the base of the mic frame.
Compatibility: This kit is exclusively designed for the Zoom H5 handheld recorder. It is not natively compatible with other Zoom models (such as the H4n or H6) due to the specific dimensions of the H5 microphone module.
Care: Keep the Windjammer clean by gently brushing the faux fur with a soft comb after use in dusty or dirty environments. If it becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to preserve the fibers.
