FAQs

Are these goggles suitable for competitive racing?

Yes, the Arena Tracks Mirror Goggles are designed as reliable racing goggles, featuring a low-profile hydrodynamic lens to reduce drag.

How do I maintain the anti-fog coating?

Rinse the inside of the lenses with fresh water after each use and allow them to air dry. Avoid touching or wiping the inside of the lenses, as this can damage the coating.

Can I use these goggles for open water swimming?

Yes, the mirrored lenses are ideal for outdoor swimming as they protect your eyes from glare and UV rays.

What does 'One Size' mean for these goggles?

The 'One Size' designation indicates that the goggles are designed with adjustable straps and a flexible frame to fit most adult head sizes comfortably.

Are the lenses tinted or clear?

The lenses are grey and feature a mirrored coating to reduce glare, making them suitable for bright conditions.

What material are the seals made of?

The seals are made of soft silicone, designed to provide a comfortable and watertight fit.

Troubleshooting

Goggles leak around the eyes.

Ensure the silicone seals are clean and free of debris. Adjust the dual strap for a more secure, yet comfortable, fit. Try repositioning the goggles on your face to achieve a better seal.

Lenses are fogging up during use.

Rinse the inside of the lenses with clean water before swimming. Avoid touching the inside of the lenses, as this can damage the anti-fog coating. If fogging persists, consider using an anti-fog solution specifically designed for swimming goggles.

Strap is difficult to adjust.

Gently pull the ends of the strap through the adjusters. If the strap feels stiff, try flexing it back and forth. Ensure the strap is correctly threaded through the buckles.

Reduced visibility due to glare.

These goggles are designed for bright conditions. In very low light, the mirrored coating may reduce visibility. Ensure the lenses are clean. For extremely bright conditions, the mirrored coating is performing as intended.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent glare reduction for outdoor or bright pool conditions.
  • Effective anti-fog and UV protection features.
  • Comfortable fit with soft silicone seals and adjustable strap.
  • Low-profile, hydrodynamic design to minimize drag.
  • Good value for money, suitable for both training and racing.
  • Durable construction for reliable performance.

Cons

  • Mirrored finish may not be preferred by all swimmers.
  • Considered a basic model, lacking advanced customization options.
  • May require more frequent adjustment for some users during intense activity compared to higher-end models.
  • One size fits most, may not be suitable for all face shapes without minor adjustments.
  • Primarily designed for bright conditions, vision may be reduced in very low light.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Adjust the dual strap using the integrated adjusters to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. The strap should sit securely on the back of your head.
  2. Position the goggles on your face, ensuring the silicone seals create a gentle suction. A good seal should hold the goggles in place without significant strap tension.

Compatibility:

  • Designed for adult swimmers.
  • Suitable for both training and racing.
  • Ideal for outdoor swimming and well-lit indoor pools.

Care:

  • After each use, rinse the goggles with clean, cold water to remove chlorine, salt, or debris.
  • Gently pat the lenses dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid rubbing the anti-fog coating, as this can damage it.
  • Store the goggles in a cool, dry place, preferably in a protective case, to prevent scratches and preserve the anti-fog properties.
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight for prolonged periods when not in use, as this can degrade the materials and coatings.
