Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The watch comes with its quartz movement pre-installed and typically starts running upon removal from packaging, provided the crown is pushed in. To set the time, gently pull the crown outwards to the first or second position (depending on whether you are setting the date/day or time) and turn it to your desired setting. Ensure the crown is pushed back in fully to maintain water resistance.
Compatibility: This is a standalone analogue watch and does not require compatibility with other devices or systems.
Care: To maintain your Timex Legacy watch:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and band with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Water Resistance: While most analogue watches have some level of water resistance, avoid submerging the watch unless its specific water resistance rating (if provided) allows for it. Protect it from excessive moisture, steam, and harsh environments.
- Battery: The quartz movement requires a battery. When the watch stops running or the second hand moves erratically, it's time for a battery replacement, typically performed by a professional.
