Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle and its base from the packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
- First Use Cleanse: Before first use, fill the kettle to its maximum `1.7L` mark with fresh water. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Position the power base on a stable, flat, dry surface near a standard electrical outlet.
Compatibility
This kettle is designed for use with standard household electrical outlets (typically 220-240V). Ensure your power supply matches these requirements. It is an ideal companion for a variety of hot beverages and culinary tasks requiring boiled water.
Care & Maintenance
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers, as they may damage the gloss finish. Ensure the kettle is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
- Interior Cleaning (General): For general cleaning of the interior, rinse with fresh water. Do not submerge the kettle body or power base in water.
- Removable Limescale Filter: Regularly remove the filter and rinse it under running water to remove limescale buildup. For stubborn deposits, gently brush with a soft brush.
- Descaling: In hard water areas, descaling is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for kettles, following the product's instructions, or a natural solution like white vinegar and water. Always rinse thoroughly after descaling.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the kettle is clean and dry. You can wrap the power cord around the base for tidy storage.
