This jacket is primarily a shell. For cold weather, it is designed to be layered over warmer mid-layers such as fleece or insulated jackets for added warmth.

The hand pockets are secured with zippers, and the chest pocket has a snap button, offering good protection against rain. However, for sensitive electronics, it is always recommended to use additional waterproof protection inside the pockets.

The jacket is constructed with a 2-layer fabric system utilizing HELLY TECH® PROTECTION.

Wash the jacket only when it is visibly dirty or when its performance (like water repellency) seems diminished. Over-washing can reduce the lifespan of the DWR treatment.

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating may have worn off. Clean the jacket according to care instructions and reapply a DWR treatment specifically designed for outdoor gear.

Ensure the fabric around the zipper is clear of obstructions. Gently try to move the zipper up and down. If resistance persists, apply a small amount of wax (like beeswax or a specialized zipper lubricant) to the zipper teeth.

Check that the toggles or drawcords are fully tightened. Ensure they are not damaged and are functioning correctly. If the cord locks are worn, they may need replacement.
