Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, always verify the thread size, reach, and heat range against your engine manufacturer's specifications. When installing, ensure the spark plug threads are clean and free of debris. Hand-thread the plug to avoid cross-threading, then use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten it to the specific torque setting recommended by your engine manual—typically 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn after the gasket contacts the seat. For maintenance, periodically inspect the electrode for signs of excessive wear or carbon buildup, and replace if the electrode gap has widened beyond the manufacturer's suggested tolerance.
