The Mountain Warehouse Bachill 3 Layer Waterproof Jacket is designed for adult women who need reliable weather protection for hiking, trekking, or daily outdoor commutes. It offers an excellent balance of 5,000mm waterproofing and 3,000 breathability in a lightweight, packable frame, though users requiring extreme heavy-duty mountain protection may find the breathability rating modest during high-exertion aerobic activities.

Yes, the 3-layer construction provides an effective windproof barrier.
Check the garment care label, but generally, air-drying is recommended to preserve the waterproof membrane.
It includes multiple zipped pockets located on the sides, chest, and inside the jacket.
No, the hood is integrated into the design for better weather protection but is elasticated for adjustment.
With a 5,000mm rating, it is suitable for most rain, though prolonged exposure in severe mountain conditions may eventually require a higher specification jacket.
The DWR coating is likely worn out. Wash with a technical cleaner and apply a spray-on or wash-in water repellent treatment.
The breathability limit has been reached. Try loosening the cuffs or unzipping the front slightly to allow more airflow.
To maintain the jacket's waterproof performance, it is important to follow proper care protocols. Always wash the garment on a gentle cycle using technical gear cleaners that do not strip the durable water repellent (DWR) coating. Avoid fabric softeners, as these can clog the pores of the breathable membrane. After several washes, apply a re-proofing spray to the outer shell to ensure water continues to bead off the surface rather than soaking into the fabric. When storing, ensure the jacket is completely dry to prevent mildew growth on the lining.
