Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
There's no complex setup for a lipstick, but preparation is key:
- Lip Hydration: Always ensure your lips are moisturized. A well-hydrated canvas is crucial for a smooth matte application.
- Exfoliation: Periodically exfoliate your lips to remove dead skin, which can make matte lipstick appear patchy.
Compatibility
- Lip Liner: Highly compatible with lip liners, which can improve precision and longevity. A clear or matching red liner is recommended.
- Lip Primer: Can be used with lip primers to create an even base and potentially extend wear.
- Complementary Makeup: Works beautifully with understated eye makeup to let the lips be the focal point, or with a full glam look for a dramatic effect.
Care
- Storage: Store your lipstick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent melting or drying out.
- Hygiene: To maintain hygiene, avoid sharing lipsticks. If you need to sanitize, gently wipe the surface with a clean tissue after use. Do not use alcohol-based sanitizers directly on the lipstick bullet as it can affect the formula.
- Avoid Contamination: Keep the cap on tightly when not in use to protect the product from dust and air.
