This Lenovo 03X6840 cable acts as a gender changer for RJ-45 and USB 2.0 Type-A connections. It comes in black. The adapter is designed to enable Ethernet on systems without an RJ-45 connector through a USB port. It provides a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet solution via USB 3.0, but also supports boot over LAN on selected ThinkPad systems. The adapter also includes QoS tagged packets and duplicate address detection but does not support POE (Power over Ethernet). It offers Gigabit speed when running on USB 3.0 and 100M/10M adapt when running on USB 2.0. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3az Gigabit Ethernet requirements.
