Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
As a traditional lip pencil, the MAC Lip Pencil in Oak is ready to use directly from the package. To maintain its ultra-precise tip, it will require sharpening with a cosmetic pencil sharpener. Ensure the sharpener is clean to prevent product contamination and achieve a clean cut.
Compatibility:
- M·A·C Lipsticks: Perfectly compatible with all M·A·C lipstick formulas, enhancing their wear and preventing feathering.
- M·A·C Lipglass: Works seamlessly as a base or outline for M·A·C Lipglass products, adding definition and preventing the gloss from bleeding.
- Other Lip Products: Its versatile formula makes it compatible with most other lipsticks, glosses, and balms, regardless of brand, though it's specifically designed to complement M·A·C's extensive color range.
Care:
- Sharpening: Sharpen regularly to maintain a fine point for precise application. A dull pencil can lead to less defined lines.
- Storage: Always replace the cap firmly after each use to prevent the tip from drying out and to protect it from damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which can affect the product's texture.
- Cleaning: If the pencil tip accumulates product buildup or dust, gently wipe it with a clean tissue before sharpening.
