Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your jacket, always ensure all zippers are closed before washing. Use a technical detergent specifically formulated for waterproof breathable membranes; avoid traditional laundry soaps or fabric softeners, which can compromise the membrane's breathability. The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating should be refreshed periodically—if water no longer beads on the surface of the fabric, you can restore it using a spray-on or wash-in treatment followed by low-heat tumble drying, provided the care label permits. When packing for a trip, ensure the jacket is stored loosely rather than compressed for long durations to prevent unnecessary creases in the seam-sealing tape. The jacket is designed to fit over base layers and mid-layers, so maintain your normal size unless you prefer an oversized fit for extreme layering systems.
