Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply put on the jacket. Adjust the hood drawstring (if present) for a snug fit. Ensure the main zipper is fully closed to engage its waterproof seal.
Compatibility: This jacket is compatible with various layering systems. Wear a base layer for moisture wicking and a mid-layer for insulation underneath, depending on the temperature. It pairs well with hiking trousers, activewear, or even casual everyday outfits.
Care: To maintain the jacket's waterproof and breathable properties, it's crucial to follow care instructions.
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a technical wash specifically designed for waterproof fabrics. Avoid using fabric softeners, bleach, or strong detergents, as these can damage the waterproof coating and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. High heat can damage the fabric's waterproof membrane.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. If water stops beading on the surface, consider applying a wash-in or spray-on DWR re-proofing product to restore water repellency.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
