Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Break-In
Upon receiving your Puma Future 8 Pro FG boots, we recommend a gradual break-in period. Wear them for short training sessions initially to allow the adaptive knit upper to mold to your foot for a personalized fit. Ensure the laces are tied securely but comfortably to activate the PWRTAPE lockdown without causing pressure points.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/AG outsole, meaning they are designed and optimized for use on:
- Firm Natural Ground: Traditional grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy.
- Artificial Ground: Modern synthetic turf pitches.
*Avoid using these boots on soft ground (SG) or indoor (IC) surfaces*, as this can damage the soleplate and studs, and may lead to reduced performance or injury.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt and debris with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. *Do not use direct heat sources* like radiators or hair dryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, air out your boots thoroughly. You can also use boot deodorizers or baking soda packets inside the boots.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect studs for wear and tear. While designed for durability, worn studs can impact grip and stability.
