FAQs
Can I leave this on 24/7?
While the material is comfortable, it is recommended to remove and check your horse's head daily to prevent any buildup of sweat or dirt.
Is this set suitable for all horse sizes?
The set is designed for standard horse-sized headcollars; however, the velcro allows for some adjustment in positioning.
Will the black version fade?
The material is high quality, but like any synthetic product, extended exposure to direct, harsh sunlight can lead to minor color fading over time.
Does the set come with a headcollar?
No, this is a four-piece padding set only. The headcollar must be purchased separately.
Can I use fabric softener when washing?
It is generally not recommended to use fabric softener as it can coat the synthetic fibers and reduce their effectiveness and texture.
Troubleshooting
Padding sliding out of position
Check that all velcro tabs are pulled tight and fully engaged with their counterparts.
Faux fur feeling matted or clumped
Once dry, use a clean stiff-bristled brush to gently tease the fibers back into their original loft.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Open all velcro fasteners on the four pieces.
- Wrap the poll piece around the crown of the headcollar, ensuring the soft fur faces the horse's skin.
- Attach the noseband piece, then secure the two cheek pieces.
- Check that the padding does not interfere with the movement of the horse's jaw or blinkers.
Compatibility:
The set is designed to be universal and fits most standard-sized headcollars. Ensure the width of your existing headcollar webbing does not exceed the width of the Simuwool covers for the most secure fit.
Care Instructions:
- Routine Maintenance: Remove dried dirt and hair using a stiff dandy brush after each use to prolong the life of the fur.
- Washing: Machine wash at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle. Use a dedicated wash bag to protect the velcro and the fur structure.
- Drying: Always air dry in a well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry, as high heat can melt or permanently damage the synthetic fibers.
