Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Kaiya boots remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in: As with all leather footwear, wear them for short durations indoors before long-distance walking to allow the leather to soften to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Wipe away mud or road salt with a damp cloth immediately after use to prevent salt damage to the leather.
- Conditioning: Apply a leather balm or cream every few weeks to keep the material supple and water-resistant.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can cause leather to crack.
- Sizing: These boots are true to size; ensure you have enough room to wear your preferred winter sock thickness.
