The metallic finish on the Birko-Flor® material is generally durable. However, like any coated material, excessive abrasion or rough handling could potentially lead to wear over time. Gentle cleaning and avoiding scuffs will help maintain its appearance.

Birko-Flor® is a synthetic material known for its durability, easy care, and skin-friendly properties. Leather is a natural material that can offer a softer feel and may develop a patina over time. Both provide comfort and support, with Birko-Flor® being a popular vegan-friendly alternative.

This is normal as the cork-latex footbed molds to the wearer's foot shape with wear. Wear them for short periods initially to break them in comfortably.

Minor scuffs can sometimes be buffed gently with a soft cloth. For significant wear, consider it part of the sandal's character, or explore specialized leather care products for metallic finishes if recommended by Birkenstock.

If the cork-latex footbed becomes wet, allow it to air dry completely at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Do not use a hairdryer or place it in direct sunlight, as this can damage the material.

Ensure the metal tongue buckles are tightened correctly and securely on both straps. If the straps are still too loose, double-check that the correct size has been selected.
