Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your jacket. Always refer to the garment's care label for the most accurate instructions. Generally, for polyester softshell jackets:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild, liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, and fabric softeners, as these can clog the fabric's pores and impair breathability and water repellency.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry. High heat can damage the fabric and membrane. If tumble drying, a short period in the dryer can help reactivate the DWR finish.
- Ironing: Do not iron.
- DWR Reapplication: If water stops beading on the surface and starts to 'wet out', it's time to reapply a DWR treatment (spray-on or wash-in product, available at outdoor retailers) following the product's instructions.
