While it is durable, it is designed primarily as a collectible decoration and contains a metal spring, so it should be used under adult supervision for younger children.
It is designed for indoor use. Exposure to direct sunlight and humidity may affect the finish and the spring mechanism over time.
The Hoptimist is constructed from a combination of high-quality plastic and a robust metal spring.
The base is weighted to provide stability. Just ensure you place it on a level desk surface to prevent it from sliding.
Yes, it is based on the original 1960s designs by Gustav Ehrenreich, maintaining the authenticity of the classic Hoptimist collection.
Ensure the figure is placed on a perfectly flat and hard surface. If the surface is soft or uneven, the bounce may be dampened.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth or a soft brush to gently clear away particles from the matte finish.
Gently check the spring for any debris caught between the coils. Use compressed air to blow out any dust if necessary.
Setup is instantaneous; simply remove the figure from its packaging and place it on any stable, horizontal surface. No assembly is required.
Regarding care, because the figure is made of durable materials with a matte finish, it is easy to maintain. Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth to wipe away dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaning chemicals or water directly on the spring, as this could potentially lead to rust or a loss of tension over time. Keep the figure away from extreme heat sources to preserve the finish and structural integrity of the plastic and metal components.
