Product Information
Full details
The Sloomy Mayfair Plush Divan Set in Bronze is designed for individuals seeking a stable, modern, and supportive sleep surface with a classic aesthetic, ideal for guest rooms or occasional use. Its key benefit is the platform-top construction offering even mattress support and a sophisticated chesterfield headboard. A potential caveat is its suitability primarily for occasional use due to its open-coil spring system, which may offer less long-term durability for heavy, daily use compared to other mattress types. This set combines handcrafted quality with customizable fabric options for a tailored look.

FAQs
What is the main benefit of the platform-top base?
The platform-top base offers consistent, even support across the entire surface of the mattress, preventing sagging and providing a stable sleep environment.
Is this mattress suitable for heavy daily use?
The mattress features an open-coil spring system, which is generally recommended for occasional use or for lighter individuals. For very heavy daily use, a mattress with a pocket-sprung system might offer more long-term durability and support.
How often should I rotate the mattress?
Since this is a single-sided mattress, it needs to be rotated head-to-toe regularly, ideally every 2-3 months, to ensure even wear and maintain comfort.
What are the fabric options for the divan set?
The Mayfair Divan Set can be upholstered in Sloomy's premium fabrics: Plush Velvet, Naples, Coniston, and Dumfries.
What is the warranty period for this product?
The mattress comes with a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.
Does the set come with a headboard?
Yes, a 26-inch strutted headboard in a Chesterfield design is included as standard with this divan set.
Are there any storage options available with this divan set?
This specific model, the Mayfair Plush Divan Set, does not explicitly mention drawers or storage. It focuses on the platform-top construction and headboard design. Other variants may offer storage.
Troubleshooting
Bed base makes squeaking noises
Check that all screws and fixings connecting the base sections and to the headboard are tightened securely. Ensure the chrome gliders are firmly attached.
Headboard feels wobbly
Verify that the headboard struts are correctly aligned and all screws attaching the struts to the divan base are fully tightened. Some adjustment of the strut position might be needed.
Mattress feels uneven
Ensure the mattress is correctly positioned on the platform base. Rotate the mattress head-to-toe as recommended. If the issue persists, check the mattress for any internal defects (within the guarantee period).
Chrome gliders are scratching the floor
Ensure the gliders are fully attached and are the correct component for floor protection. If floors are particularly sensitive, consider placing felt pads under the gliders.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: The Mayfair Divan Set is designed for straightforward assembly. The base typically comes in two sections for larger sizes, which join together. The headboard attaches to the pre-drilled holes on the divan base using the provided struts. Ensure all screws are tightened securely. The chrome gliders should be attached to the bottom of the base.
Compatibility: This divan set is designed to perfectly fit a standard Small Double mattress (120cm x 190cm). The mattress is a single-sided, non-slip base type, meaning it should be rotated regularly (head-to-toe) but does not require flipping.
Care:
- Base: Wipe the fabric base and headboard with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For fabric spills, blot immediately with a dry cloth.
- Mattress: Rotate the mattress (not flip) from head to toe regularly, approximately once every 2-3 months, to ensure even wear and prolong its lifespan. Vacuum the mattress surface occasionally using an upholstery attachment to remove dust. Ensure the mattress remains dry; use a mattress protector for added defense against spills and stains.
