Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Upon receiving your Oasis Relaxed Wool Trench, gently remove it from its packaging. If there are any minor wrinkles from shipping, hang the coat on a sturdy, padded hanger in a well-ventilated area. Light steaming can help remove more persistent creases. Do not iron directly on wool without a protective cloth and low heat setting.
Compatibility
This trench coat is designed to be highly compatible with a wide range of wardrobe styles and layering needs:
- Season: Ideal for autumn and winter.
- Layering: Its relaxed fit allows for comfortable layering over knitwear, blouses, and light jackets.
- Occasion: Suitable for both casual outings (e.g., shopping, brunch) and more formal settings (e.g., work, dinner).
- Footwear: Pairs well with ankle boots, knee-high boots, loafers, and even smart trainers.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the beauty and longevity of your wool trench coat.
- Dry Clean Only: Due to its wool material, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended to preserve the fabric's integrity, shape, and drape. Refer to the garment's care label for specific instructions.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor spills or marks, gently blot the affected area with a clean, damp cloth and a small amount of mild wool-specific detergent. Do not rub vigorously, as this can damage the wool fibres. Rinse by blotting with a clean, damp cloth.
- Air Drying: If the coat gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally on a padded hanger, away from direct heat sources (like radiators) or direct sunlight, which can cause shrinkage or fading.
- Storage: Store the coat on a broad, padded hanger to prevent stretching or misshaping of the shoulders. Keep it in a breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and moths, especially during off-season storage. Ensure it is clean before storing for extended periods.
- Avoid Machine Washing/Drying: Machine washing and tumble drying can cause significant shrinkage, felting, and damage to wool garments.
