The Nike Ja 2 Nightmare, designed for kids, is an athletic shoe featuring a bold University Red upper constructed with textured leather, suede, and mesh. The Nike Swoosh and Ja 2 branding are prominently displayed in Celestial Gold on the sides and tongue. The midsole and outsole are a striking combination of University Red and Black, with a unique design on the rear heel showing ghastly hands in Jade Horizon and an eyeball. Nike developed the Ja 2 in collaboration with NBA player Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies. As his second signature shoe with Nike, the Ja 2 Nightmare embraces a horror theme, incorporating elements personal to Morant. The claw mark textured leather upper pays homage to Morant's intimidating "nightmarish" on-court performance. A standout feature is the shoe's varied textures, which enhance visual appeal and strengthen the "Nightmare" theme.
