To pack, lay the gilet flat, smooth out any air, and roll or fold it tightly starting from the bottom. Guide it carefully into the provided dust bag. The bag is designed to compress it efficiently for travel or storage.
The technical fabric offers some resistance to light moisture, but the gilet is not fully waterproof. It is best suited for dry, cool conditions or as a mid-layer under a waterproof outer shell in wet weather due to its goose down filling.
Always refer to the care label inside the garment. Generally, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using a down-specific detergent. Tumble dry on low heat with dryer balls until completely dry to restore loft.
This gilet provides excellent core warmth but is designed as a versatile layering piece. For extreme cold, it is recommended to wear it as a mid-layer under a heavy-duty outer jacket to maximize insulation and protection.
The outer shell is made from Polyester technical fabric, and it is filled with warm goose down padding for insulation.
This is normal for packable down products. Gently shake the gilet and allow it to hang for at least 30 minutes to an hour. The goose down will naturally re-loft and regain its fullness.
Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth. If the issue persists, carefully apply a small amount of zipper lubricant (e.g., beeswax or a specialized zipper wax) to the teeth.
A minimal amount of feather leakage is common with down products, especially when new. If it's excessive, check for any small tears in the fabric. Avoid pulling feathers out; instead, push them back in from the reverse side.
This usually indicates the down is not fully dry or has clumped. Re-tumble dry the gilet on a low setting with dryer balls, checking periodically until the down is evenly distributed and completely dry and fluffy.

Proper care is crucial to maintain the gilet's performance and longevity. Always check the garment's care label for specific instructions.
