Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Use: Before competitive play, it's recommended to wear the Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite FG for a few training sessions to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape. This helps achieve the best possible fit and comfort, while also breaking in the soleplate.
Compatibility: These cleats are specifically designed for use on Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This typically refers to natural grass pitches that are slightly dry or not overly wet, offering consistent firmness. They are not recommended for artificial grass, hard ground, or wet, muddy conditions, as the stud pattern may not provide optimal traction and could increase the risk of injury.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud using a soft brush or a dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or soaking the cleats in water.
- Drying: Allow the cleats to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape during drying.
- Storage: Store the cleats in a cool, dry place, preferably in a breathable shoe bag to prevent moisture buildup and odor.
