Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your HOKA Challenger 8 shoes last as long as possible, follow these guidelines:
- Fit Check: Ensure you have a thumb's width of space at the front of the shoe to account for foot swelling during long runs.
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush after trail runs. If the shoes are muddy, wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking them in water or putting them in a washing machine, as this can degrade the foam.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as extreme heat can warp the adhesive and foam structure.
- Rotation: If training daily, consider rotating between two pairs to allow the midsole foam time to recover and decompress, which prolongs the life of the cushioning.
