The 900ml water tank can extract up to 250ml of moisture per day. In typical conditions, you might need to empty it every 2-3 days, depending on the humidity level and room size. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.

The auto-shutoff feature automatically turns off the dehumidifier when the 900ml water tank reaches its maximum capacity. This prevents any overflow or spills, giving you peace of mind. Once the tank is emptied and reinserted, the unit will resume operation.

While it can help with moisture, it's generally not recommended for continuous use in a bathroom during or immediately after a shower, where humidity levels are extremely high and temporary. For best results and longevity, use it in areas with more consistent, manageable humidity. Ensure adequate ventilation is available.

The Black & Decker Compact Dehumidifier operates quietly, making it suitable for use in bedrooms and living spaces without causing significant disturbance. The noise level is generally low, similar to a small fan.

Unplug the unit before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. The water tank should be rinsed regularly with clean water. Periodically check the air inlet and outlet for dust and gently clean with a soft brush or vacuum to maintain optimal airflow.

Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working electrical outlet. Check if the power button has been pressed. Verify that the water tank is correctly inserted and not full, as the unit features an auto-shutoff when the tank is full.

Ensure the air inlet and outlet are not blocked, allowing proper airflow. For new units, it may take a few hours to start collecting noticeable amounts of water.

Remove the water tank and re-insert it firmly. Ensure there's no obstruction preventing the float sensor from moving freely, which might falsely trigger the 'tank full' alert. Check for any debris in the tank or sensor area.

Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface to prevent vibrations. Check for any loose parts or foreign objects inside the water tank or near the air vents. If the noise persists and is severe, contact customer support.
