FAQs

Are these curtains blackout?

No, they are fully lined for light reduction, but they are not classified as full blackout curtains.

Can I wash these in a machine?

Please check the care label on your specific pair; generally, delicate fabrics like chenille are best handled by professional dry cleaning to prevent shrinking.

What type of rod do I need?

These curtains use an eyelet header, which requires a standard curtain pole rather than a track system.

Does the set include two panels?

Yes, the standard packaging includes a pair of curtains to ensure full coverage for your window.

Will the grey colour fade over time?

The high-quality jacquard weave is durable, but it is recommended to avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure if possible to maintain colour vibrancy.

Troubleshooting

Curtains not sliding smoothly on the pole

Check that the pole is level and ensure the eyelets are evenly spaced along the rod without obstruction.

Visible wrinkles or creases upon unboxing

Allow the curtains to hang for 24-48 hours. If creases persist, use a steamer on a low setting, keeping a safe distance from the chenille fabric.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Elegant jacquard texture
  • Soft and durable chenille construction
  • Effective light reduction via full lining
  • Easy installation with eyelet design
  • Neutral colour that suits most decors

Cons

  • Chenille fabric may require specialized cleaning
  • Not blackout rated (only light-reducing)
  • Requires a separate curtain pole for eyelet installation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward as the eyelet headers are designed to slide directly onto most standard curtain poles. Ensure your pole is mounted securely to support the weight of the lined fabric. For care, it is recommended to gently vacuum the curtains periodically using an upholstery attachment to remove dust. If a deep clean is required, consult the label for professional cleaning instructions, as the specific chenille weave can be sensitive to aggressive agitation or improper machine washing.
