Most users find Dr. Martens fit consistently, but because they are constructed from durable leather, they may feel snug at first.
The leather is durable, but it is recommended to apply a water-repellent spray specifically designed for leather to improve moisture resistance.
Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth, let them air dry, and then apply a conditioning balm to maintain the leather's health.
The deep cleated soles provide excellent traction on most surfaces, though they are not specifically certified as industrial slip-resistant footwear.
Yes, the interior allows for the insertion of aftermarket insoles if you require additional arch support.
Wear the shoes for short periods inside your home with thick socks to gently stretch and break in the leather.
Use a matching shoe polish or a neutral leather balsam to buff out minor marks and restore the finish.
To ensure your Lowell shoes last for years, proper care is essential. Use a high-quality leather cleaner to remove debris, and apply a leather conditioner periodically to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. When first wearing, use thick socks to prevent blisters while the leather softens. If you have custom orthotics, the removable footbed design in most Dr. Martens models generally accommodates inserts, but ensure you test the fit before long periods of use.
