Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your boots last for seasons to come, follow these guidelines:
- Initial Protection: Treat the leather with a high-quality water and stain repellent spray specifically designed for suede or leather before your first use.
- Storage: Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from drying out or fading. If possible, use boot shapers to help the tall shaft maintain its integrity.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove surface dust. For localized dirt, use a specialized leather cleaner and a soft cloth, dabbing rather than rubbing. Never put these boots in a washing machine or dryer.
- Compatibility: These boots fit best with thinner, moisture-wicking socks to take full advantage of the internal sheepskin lining's thermal properties.
