Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Vans Classic Slip-On Trainers is as simple as putting them on. The elastic side accents ensure a snug yet flexible fit. There's no lacing or intricate adjustments required.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for casual and skateboarding environments. They are compatible with a wide range of casual attire, including jeans, chinos, shorts, and t-shirts. They are less suited for formal occasions or demanding athletic activities that require significant ankle support.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Vans:
- Cleaning the Canvas: Use a mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with cool water. Gently scrub the canvas with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach, which can damage the material and color.
- Cleaning the Rubber Sole: For scuffs and dirt on the vulcanised rubber sole, a magic eraser or a damp cloth with mild soap can be effective. A toothbrush can help with textured areas.
- Drying: Always air dry your Vans at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or using a dryer, as high heat can damage the rubber and adhesives.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation and fading.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Machine washing is not recommended as it can damage the shoe's structure and materials.
