The Karacal is a dedicated trail running shoe, ideal for medium to long trail runs requiring comfort, support, and performance. It offers a comfortable fit, responsive cushioning, and a grippy outsole for effortless mile-eating. Primarily aimed at medium and long-distance trail use, it features a high-volume last for enhanced comfort over extended periods. The twin top eyelet and heel lock system ensure a secure fit for various foot types. The upper is constructed from a breathable, single-layer 3D sandwich mesh, which is also seamless for improved comfort and flexibility. A shaped thermo-form toe cap provides protection with minimal weight, and microfiber reinforcements in the heel offer rear stability. The tongue is traditionally constructed with padding for maximum comfort, especially when using the dual top eyelets. The dual-density EVA midsole is lightweight yet supportive and flexible. The lighter foam provides greater cushioning, while the high-density EVA acts as an integrated rock shield for stability on rocky terrain. It features an Ortholite Mountain Running (MR) footbed, a 5mm comfort-oriented design with excellent moisture management and anti-microbial properties. The outsole uses a FriXion Blue compound rubber for durability and traction, featuring the Impact Brake System. FriXion Blue is hard-wearing with good grip, suitable for mountain running. The shoe has a 7mm drop, with a heel stack of 26mm, a forefoot stack of 19mm, and a 3.5mm tread depth, making it better suited for all-round trail and rock use.
