Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting the most from your Regatta Yannta Insulated Jacket involves proper adjustment, understanding its best use cases, and following appropriate care routines.
Setup & Adjustment
Your jacket is ready to wear straight out of the package. The primary adjustment feature is the internal shockcord waist. To adjust:
- Locate the adjusters, typically found on the inside of the jacket at the waist level.
- Pull the shockcords to cinch the waist to your desired fit.
- Release the cord lock to secure the adjustment. This allows you to create a more tailored and flattering silhouette while also helping to trap warmth.
Compatibility
- Layering: This jacket is designed as an outer layer. For colder conditions, wear insulating base and mid-layers (e.g., fleece, thermal tops) underneath to maximize warmth.
- Seasonal Use: Best suited for autumn and winter conditions due to its insulation and waterproofing. It offers excellent protection in rain, wind, and cold temperatures.
- Accessories: Compatible with scarves, hats, and gloves for complete head-to-toe warmth in severe weather.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your jacket. As the jacket is made from polyester with waterproofing and insulation, general guidelines apply:
- Washing:
- Info needed: Always check the garment's specific care label for detailed washing instructions.
- Generally, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a technical wash designed for waterproof breathable fabrics. Avoid biological detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach.
- Drying:
- Info needed: Follow care label.
- Typically, hang to air dry away from direct heat. Tumble drying on low heat may be possible if the care label permits, which can help reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) finish.
- Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, ideally hung, to maintain the insulation's loft and prevent creasing.
- Reproofing: Over time, the DWR finish can wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, consider reproofing with a spray-on or wash-in DWR product suitable for waterproof breathable fabrics.
