Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default combination (usually 0-0-0-0) or your existing code.
- Locate the reset mechanism (often a small pin or lever on the lock body, consult the included instructions).
- Turn the dials to your desired new 4-digit combination.
- Use a tool (like a pen tip) to push and hold the reset mechanism, then turn the dials to your new code.
- Release the reset mechanism. Your new combination is now set.
Compatibility:
This lock is compatible with most standard lockers, cabinets, hasps on sheds, toolboxes, and luggage zippers. The 8mm shackle thickness means it will fit through openings of 8mm or larger. Ensure the securing loop is compatible with the shackle diameter before purchasing.
Care:
- Periodically clean the lock body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
- For prolonged outdoor use, consider applying a light lubricant (like graphite powder or a silicone-based spray) to the dial mechanism to prevent stiffness.
- Avoid exposing the lock to extreme temperatures or corrosive chemicals.
