The Euro Hiker Low is made from premium leather, which provides some natural water resistance, but it is not classified as a fully waterproof boot.
These are intended for casual, light hiking and city walking. They are not recommended for rugged, multi-day backpacking trips where ankle support is critical.
Wipe the interior lining with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Timberland generally fits true to size, but since these are leather, they may stretch slightly over time to accommodate the shape of your foot.
D-ring eyelets allow for smoother lacing and more even tension distribution across the top of the foot for a secure fit.
The metal D-ring eyelets can be slippery; ensure you are using a double knot or a secure hiker's knot to keep the tension locked.
Remove the OrthoLite insert, clean it with mild soap and water, and air dry. If it remains flat, consider replacing the insert with a new pair of aftermarket insoles.
These shoes are ready to wear right out of the box, though it is recommended to wear them with moisture-wicking socks to maximize the benefits of the OrthoLite footbed. To keep your Timberland leather in peak condition, brush off loose dirt regularly with a soft-bristled brush. If the leather gets stained, use a dedicated leather cleaner and conditioner to maintain its suppleness. Avoid submerging the shoes in water; if they get wet, air-dry them away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can crack and damage the leather.
