Gently wipe the leather with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt. For more thorough cleaning, use a specialized leather cleaner followed by a leather conditioner to keep the material supple. Clean the rubber sole with a brush and soapy water. Always air dry.
Kickers Kick Hi boots are generally considered true to size for UK adult sizing. However, personal fit can vary, so consider your typical shoe size and the thickness of socks you plan to wear. This specific variant is a UK adult size 7.
The break-in period for leather boots can vary, but typically ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks of regular wear. Be patient, as the leather will gradually conform to the shape of your foot, increasing comfort significantly.
While the leather offers some natural water resistance, Kickers Kick Hi boots are not fully waterproof. For protection in heavy rain or wet conditions, it's recommended to apply a suitable water-repellent spray designed for leather footwear. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture.
The small leather tag attached to the laces is a signature hallmark of authentic Kickers footwear. It's a traditional brand identifier and can be left on or removed based on personal preference. It's part of the boot's iconic aesthetic.
This is normal for new leather boots. Wear them for short periods, increasing the duration each time. The leather will gradually soften and mold to your feet, becoming much more comfortable. Thick socks can help during the break-in period.
For light scuffs, a damp cloth can sometimes buff them out. For deeper marks, use a leather cream or conditioner in a matching red tone (if available) or a neutral color to moisturize the leather and minimize the appearance of the scuff. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Squeaking can sometimes come from the sole or inside the boot. Try sprinkling a small amount of talcum powder under the insole to reduce friction. If the squeak is from the sole, ensure it's clean and dry. A cobbler might be able to help if it persists.
Exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods can cause fading. Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Regularly applying a colored leather cream (specifically for red leather) can help restore and maintain the vibrancy of the color.
