Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup, understanding compatibility, and regular care are crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Neff Angled Glass Chimney Hood.
Setup
- Professional Installation Recommended: Given its wall-mounted design and the need for proper ventilation ducting, professional installation is strongly advised. This ensures secure mounting, correct electrical connection, and efficient air extraction.
- Dimensions: Ensure your kitchen space accommodates the hood's dimensions: H450 x W790 x D447mm.
- Ducting: Ensure appropriate ducting is in place or installed to vent extracted air outdoors or through a recirculation kit (if applicable and purchased separately). > Info needed: [Recirculation kit part number or specific requirements if applicable].
Compatibility
- Home Connect: This hood is compatible with the Home Connect ecosystem. Download the Home Connect app on your smartphone or tablet to pair the appliance and access its smart features.
- Hob to Hood Control & Smart Hood Automatic: For these features to work, the hood must be paired with a compatible NEFF induction or ceramic hob that supports this functionality. Consult your hob's manual or NEFF's compatibility list.
Care & Maintenance
- Grease Filter Cleaning: The washable stainless steel grease filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal performance. Depending on usage, clean it every 3-6 weeks. It can typically be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or in a dishwasher (check manual for specific instructions).
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the black glass and stainless steel surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- LED Lighting: The LED lights are long-lasting. If a light fails, contact NEFF customer service for replacement or professional service.
- Air Filter (Recirculation Mode): If using the hood in recirculation mode (without external venting), the activated charcoal filter (not included, usually purchased separately) will need periodic replacement. > Info needed: [Charcoal filter replacement frequency and part number if applicable].
