FAQs

Are these socks suitable for children?

This specific variant is an adult medium size; however, WackySox does offer children's sizing in their wider range.

Can I wear these with shin pads?

Yes, the soft leg section is designed to comfortably accommodate shin pads.

What material are the socks made from?

These socks are constructed primarily from high-quality polyester for durability and moisture management.

Do they provide compression?

They feature targeted elastication at the ankle and foot arch for support, but they are not medical-grade compression socks.

Where are these socks manufactured?

WackySox are manufactured in Great Britain.

Will the logo fade after washing?

The Wacky face logo is designed to withstand standard athletic wear and washing, provided you follow the recommended care instructions.

Troubleshooting

Sock slipping down during play

Ensure the turnover top is correctly positioned and that the sock is not being folded over excessively, which can stretch the elastic.

Foot discomfort or bunching inside the boot

Ensure the central foot band is aligned with the arch of your foot and that there is no excess fabric at the toe seam.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Superior moisture management keeps feet dry.
  • Elasticated design prevents constant adjusting during play.
  • Breathable material reduces overheating in the leg area.
  • Smooth seam construction helps prevent blistering.
  • Durable construction suitable for contact sports.

Cons

  • Specific fit requires careful selection of size.
  • Limited to knee-length style.
  • Plain aesthetic may not appeal to those seeking vibrant patterns.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your WackySox, follow these guidelines:

  1. Preparation: Before the first wear, ensure the sock is pulled up fully so the elasticated turnover top sits comfortably below the knee.
  2. Compatibility: These are unisex socks suitable for a variety of footwear, including football boots, rugby boots, and general fitness trainers.
  3. Washing: Machine wash on a cool setting. Avoid using heavy fabric softeners, as these can clog the technical fibers and diminish the moisture-wicking properties of the Coolmax Pro footbed.
  4. Drying: Air dry whenever possible to maintain the integrity of the elastic components.
