It is not recommended to machine wash Vans. Hand cleaning with a damp cloth is the best way to maintain the structural integrity of the vulcanized rubber.

Vans Authentic trainers generally run true to size, but since they have a lower profile, some users prefer a half-size larger if they have wider feet.

While they are comfortable and durable for daily play, they are casual trainers and do not provide the specialized shock absorption required for high-impact sports like basketball or long-distance running.

Like most dyed canvas, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause minor fading over time. To preserve the color, avoid leaving them in direct sun when not in use.

The lace-up design allows for some adjustability in width, but the overall fit is standard. They are generally accommodating for most foot shapes.

The vulcanized rubber will soften with regular wear; try wearing them for shorter periods initially to break them in.
