Crown Walls & Ceilings Matt Emulsion Paint 5L - Blue

This Crown Matt Emulsion Paint provides a modern matt finish with no surface shine, giving a smooth and contemporary look to your walls and ceilings.

While suitable for general interior walls and ceilings, this matt emulsion is not specifically designed for high-humidity areas like bathrooms or kitchens. For these rooms, it's recommended to use a specialist moisture and steam-resistant paint.

The number of coats required depends on the surface condition and the existing colour. This paint offers great coverage, but two coats are typically recommended for the best finish. Darker colours or highly absorbent surfaces may require more.

Matt finishes are generally less durable than silk or satin. For spills, gently wipe immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing, as this can mark the finish. For more stubborn marks, a very mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be tried on an inconspicuous area first.

The `breatheasy` formula means the paint is virtually odour-free, significantly reducing the paint smell during and after application, making for a more pleasant painting experience.

Ensure the surface was clean and properly prepared. Apply paint in even, consistent coats, avoiding over-brushing or over-rolling. Allow sufficient drying time between coats.

Ensure the paint was thoroughly stirred before use. Consider applying an additional thin coat. For significant colour changes or very porous surfaces, a suitable primer or undercoat may be beneficial before applying the emulsion.

Ensure adequate ventilation in the room by opening windows and doors. Check the room temperature and humidity, as very cold or damp conditions can prolong drying. Apply thinner coats if current layers are too thick.

Always stir the paint thoroughly before and during use. Ensure the roller or brush is clean and free of debris. If the paint tin was open for a while, a skin might have formed; remove it before stirring.
