Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting the time on your Emporio Armani Watch is straightforward:
- Locate the crown (the small knob) on the right side of the watch case.
- Gently pull the crown *out* to its first position.
- Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown *back in* securely against the watch case. This will start the watch.
Compatibility
This watch is a versatile accessory compatible with a wide range of personal styles and wardrobes, from business attire to smart-casual outfits. Its classic design and neutral silver and blue tones ensure it pairs well with various color palettes.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will help maintain the beauty and longevity of your watch:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, oils, and moisture. For stubborn grime on the stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring to dry thoroughly afterward. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Water Resistance: Remember the watch is water resistant up to 30m (100 feet), meaning it's protected against splashes and rain. *Do not* wear it while showering, swimming, diving, or participating in any water sports. Prolonged exposure to water or steam can damage the internal components.
- Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields, which can affect its accuracy.
- Crystal Protection: While the mineral crystal is durable, it's not entirely scratch-proof. Avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to sharp objects to prevent scratches.
- Battery Replacement: The Quartz movement is battery-powered. If the watch stops or loses accuracy, the battery likely needs replacement. It is recommended to have battery replacements performed by a professional watchmaker or an authorized service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance integrity.
