Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Outlander Jacket, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Adjustment: Before heading out, adjust the waist draw cord and hem to fit over your mid-layers. This prevents cold air from cycling up into the jacket.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the outer shell with a damp cloth if only lightly soiled. For deeper cleaning, machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with technical outdoor fabric detergent. Avoid bleach or heavy fabric softeners which can degrade the waterproof coating.
- Drying: Always air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the synthetic fibers and waterproof membrane.
- Storage: Hang the jacket in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Avoid stuffing it into small bags for long periods to keep the shell material in good condition.
