FAQs

Can this mat be used indoors?

While designed primarily for outdoor use due to its scraping properties, it can be used indoors, provided there is adequate ventilation to allow moisture to escape.

How do I reverse the mat?

The mat is identical on both sides; simply lift it, flip it over, and lay it back down.

Is the material machine washable?

No, it is designed to be cleaned with a garden hose and air dried.

Will the beige color fade in direct sunlight?

Like all textiles, prolonged direct sun exposure may eventually cause minor fading, but the durable materials are selected for outdoor durability.

Does it come in other colors?

Yes, there are other color variations available, such as black, under the same Lovers Knot product line.

Troubleshooting

Mat sliding on smooth surfaces

Place a rug pad or anti-slip matting underneath to prevent movement.

Dirt buildup deep in the weave

Use a high-pressure hose setting to flush out stubborn debris trapped between the rope braids.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Placement is straightforward: simply lay the mat flat at your chosen threshold. For the best performance, ensure the mat is placed on a level surface.

Care Instructions:

  1. Routine Cleaning: Shake the mat periodically to remove loose dirt and grit trapped within the braids.
  2. Deep Cleaning: When the mat becomes noticeably dirty, take it outside and hose it down with water. Ensure it is completely air-dried before laying it back down to prevent moisture buildup beneath the mat.
  3. Rotation: Flip the mat occasionally to utilize the reverse side and ensure even wear across both surfaces.
