Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first long hike, wear your shoes around the house or on short walks to allow the leather to conform to your foot shape. Keep the GORE-TEX membrane effective by keeping the interior clean and free of abrasive dirt. If the shoes become muddy, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can damage the bonding agents and leather. Periodically brush off dried mud from the outsole to maintain the grip of the Contagrip rubber. When storing, keep them in a cool, dry place and ensure they are fully dry to prevent material degradation.
